Sascha Lenz is starting the 2023 truck racing season with an eye-catching new truck

A new vehicle, a new sponsor and heaps of motivation to deliver a really good season: Last weekend saw an excited Sascha Lenz from the SL Trucksport 30 team looking forward to racing the season opener at Misano in his MAN racing truck Layla.

„With our newly developed MAN racing truck, we are set to kick off the 2023 season with a bang,“ says a confident Sascha Lenz from the SL Trucksport 30 team ahead of the opening weekend in Misano. And he also explained how delighted he was to welcome the new main sponsor „Apollo Tyres,“ who joins numerous other sponsors in support of the team from Weißenthurm, Germany. The unusual design of the racing truck is also the outcome of a joint decision with the new sponsor – even though „everyone initially had their reservations about the MAN’s striking appearance,“ Sascha reveals, they didn’t let themselves be put off by it. Instead, they set about finding a fresh and bold name for „the young lady,“ as Sascha affectionately calls his racer: The choice fell on Layla.

Of course, great expectation surrounds the start of the season in the new MAN. He and his team have set themselves some ambitious goals, the passionate racing truck driver reveals.

„We will have to wait and see if all our wishes come true by the end of what we hope will be an exciting and fairly contested 2023 season.“

Your best chance of encountering Sascha Lenz and his purple racing lion is at this year’s ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix at the Nürburgring, where the two of them will undoubtedly be on the starting grid, and there will also be one or two special events for Trucker’s World members.
